LIMITATIONS RE FREE INITIAL CONSULTATIONS: A "free initial consultation" is limited to a maximum one half-hour in length, and is intended solely for "consumer" debtors meaning individuals who have incurred debt (i.e., owe money) for personal, family and household reasons unrelated to a business.  If more than 1/2 of your overall debt is for business related reasons you are a business debtor and not a consumer debtor.  We do not offer free initial consultations to businesses or to business debtors.  We offer paid consultations for businesses and business related matters.. The purpose of a free initial consultation is to determine the nature of your legal matter and whether it is a matter in which Starr & Starr, PLLC can represent you.

The purpose of a free initial consultation is not to provide you with legal advice, counsel you as to any action you should take or not take, or answer specific legal questions that you might have.   Free initial consultations do not apply to: (a) defendants in a pending lawsuit or judgment enforcement matter, (b) corporations, LLCs, partnerships, sole proprietorships or other business entities, or (c) individuals who are already debtors in a pending bankruptcy case, or who are already represented by an attorney. Starr & Starr, PLLC may decline to provide a free initial consultation for any matter not meeting the foregoing criteria as determined by the attorneys for the Firm.

We handle contingency fee matters on a case-by-case basis and reserve the right to accept or reject any claim.  At the current time we are not accepting any new contingency fee debt collection or contingency fee judgment enforcement matters. We also do not handle Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) lending matters, or Confessions of Judgment (COJ) given in a MCA transaction, or claims against consumer debtors.
