Flat Fee Business Liquidations. We assist management, business owners and other parties-in-interest in evaluating whether a business should be restructured under chapter 11, liquidated under chapter 11, or liquidated under chapter 7. For a business that determines that a chapter 7 liquidation is its best option, we can assist it with the preparation of its chapter 7 bankruptcy petition and all required schedules and disclosures. We undertake chapter 7 liquidation cases on a fixed fee basis.

Assisting Creditors & Other Parties in Bankruptcy Cases. Starr & Starr represents trustees, trade creditors, purchasers of bankruptcy assets, landlords, lessors and investors that need the assistance of experienced bankruptcy attorneys to represent them as creditors in connection with bankruptcy and insolvency matters. Among other things, our attorneys represent landlords and equipment lessors in relief from stay proceedings and/or motions to compel payment of rent. We also are experienced in representation of defendants in avoidance actions (preference and fraudulent conveyance actions) under the Bankruptcy Code.

Consumer Cases - Individual Debtors. Starr & Starr represents individuals as debtors in personal bankruptcy cases. We believe each client and client matter is unique and deserves to be treated that way. We are not a "bankruptcy mill" and provide individualized service and attention to each of our clients. At our firm you meet with and your questions are answered by an attorney, not a paralegal. Our bankruptcy services for individuals include chapter 7 liquidations (subject to eligibility under the 2005 amendments to the Bankruptcy Code) and chapter 13 wage earner repayment plans. We also represent individuals as debtors in chapter 11 restructuring cases.
